The Educator Awards recognise inspiring educators and supporters* who have demonstrated “educational distinction”, by meaningfully advancing an Islamic vision for education, enacting aligned innovative and responsive educational practice, with positive impact on the holistic development of Muslim learners.

The Distinction in Beginning to Teach Award provides recognition for inspirational educators with up to three years of experience.
Educator Award for Excellence & Innovation in Teaching
The Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Award provides recognition for inspirational educators with over three years of experience.
Educator Award for Distinction in Leadership
The Distinction in Leadership Award provides recognition for classroom educators or educational leaders who have demonstrated a key role in “leading learning” and enhancing teaching and learning in their school setting and/or community.
Educator Award for Outstanding Contribution to School Community
The Outstanding Contribution to School Community Award provides recognition for inspirational educators who are the heart and soul of the school community.
Educator Award for Outstanding Contribution to Teaching
The Outstanding Contribution to Teaching Award recognises educators and educational leaders with an exceptional history of service for over fifteen years or more in an Islamic educational setting in Australia.
The Centre for Islamic Thought and Education
The Centre for Islamic Thought and Education (CITE), positioned in the School of Education at the University of South Australia (UniSA) is dedicated to fostering the research-practice nexus for Islamic schools globally. CITE is Australia’s first Centre supporting leaders, educators, and Islamic school communities by advancing thought leadership and research, and offering teacher education and professional learning, relevant to Islamic schools and educational settings, as inspired by Islam’s distinct philosophy of education. CITE is proud to be powering Islamic school leaders and educators of distinction in Australia’s first recognised and accredited degree program based on Islamic Pedagogy.
